Oldbaum demonstrates commitment to Environmental, Health & Safety and Continuous Improvement standards

March 2015

Oldbaum Services is now ISO 14001:2004, BS OHSAS 18001:2007 and ISO 9001:2008 certified. In a competitive market it has become crucially important to demonstrate that organisations are thinking about their environmental impact, health & safety, and overall continuous improvement.

Obtaining the internationally-recognized ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System standard proves to stakeholders, customers and staff that the team is aware of environmental obligations and that we are looking to reduce our environmental impact.

The BS OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health and Safety Management System is a systematic and process-driven approach to controlling and monitoring risks. Having OHSAS 18001:2007 shows that Oldbaum create the best possible working conditions, identify hazards and demonstrate compliance to customers and suppliers.

Achieving the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System certification will help Oldbaum to continually monitor and manage quality across all operations. As the world’s most widely recognised quality management standard, ISO 9001:2008 broadens business opportunities by demonstrating compliance, and allows us to become a more consistent competitor in the wind energy sector.

Technical Director Andy Oldroyd said: “Oldbaum are committed to ensuring our work is performed to the highest possible standards. Our certification ratifies the good work Oldbaum has done to date to address Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality practices within all areas of our work.”
